The Easy Rider SUP water safety patrol was once again in action at the Summerside Lake Triathlon this past weekend.
Delmer, Robin, Griffin and myself made sure that the swimmers not only stayed on course, but also had an easy place to rest if needed during the swim portion of the race.
With the water temperature only being 13 degrees celsius we were all very glad to be “on the water” instead of “in the water”.
Congratulations to all those that took part and finished their races.
In addition to being one of the main driving forces in the Canadian economy – Fort McMurray is now also home to the latest explosion of SUP!
The Ewashko family has jumped on the SUP board with both feet.
Take two brothers and their respective families add 6 boards – and they are ready for a summer of family fun.
Not the normal road trip – but the Easy Rider SUP board delivery road trip!
I logged 163 km last night delivering 3 sup’s to happy new paddlers.
Thanks to Jason and Chad who both offered cold “refreshments” at their two homes.
I guess I should have stopped at their places last - instead of first and second.
With the success of last nights trip (I had a lot of fun doing it) – I would like to offer Free delivery – with in reason with any new SUP purchase.
I will deliver to Hawaii as well but it will cost extra!
Our next SUP demo is Tuesday, June 15 out at Telford Lake in Leduc.
5:30 to 7:30
Come on out and try SUP for FREE.

The 3rd round of the Waterman League contest series just wrapped up in Tahiti.
Starboard riders took 1st and 2nd on stock boards.
1) Dave Muir - on a Starboard 9′8″ x 29″ Pro
2) Tama Audibert – on a Starboard 9′8″ x 30″ Element
If the boards are good enough for these guys to win on . . .
Easy Rider just received our first shipment of Hobie Stand Up Boards.
Hobie has been in the Surf and water sports business for a long time and their SUP boards look great.
We received the ATR – all around boards in 10′6″, 11′2″ and 12′0″ lengths.
As a special “Welcome to Canada” present – our first shipment included a free paddle for every board.
This was a one time – first shipment gift – so come on in, pick up a Hobie board and get a free Hobie Paddle.
We just received the very first Starboard Fisherman board in the world!
The board is 11′2″ x 37″ with a slightly recessed deck so it should be ultra stable for paddling and fishing.
It has 2 Tallon Marine receivers – so you can plug any of the various attachments into the board.
Gaute from Starboard suggested the Ram Rod and the Ram Tube rod holders so that’s what I got for it.
It also has a ton of built in “leash plugs” that can be used for tying anything to the nose or the stern of the board.
The deck pad color was chosen as a dark “bloody red” so that the fish blood will not stain it.
I am heading to the lake for the weekend – so I will post up a full paddling and hopefully catching review next week.
The Naish / Easy Rider SUP Race series is right around the corner.
Tuesday nights at Telford Lake in Leduc.
Come one out and try this friendly competition for all ability levels.
