We are having our last “official” demo of the outdoor season on Tuesday, August 31.
The FREE demo will be at Hermitage Park Lake, and will run from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.

Come on out and have a fun evening on the water.
We will be near “Site #1″ on the map. (look for the big blue van)

The 3rd Annual Easy Rider SUP Cup Race & Tour

is in the books for another year.

The “Weather Channel” called for rain all day long – fortunately they were wrong.

It was an “okay day” with cool temps. and a bit of wind – thankfully the course was mostly down wind.

We had 18 racers take part in the 17 km Race from Tewillegar Park to Rafters Landing.

In the Touring class, we had 22 paddlers take part in a more relaxed cruise down the river from Laurier Park to Rafters Landing for a distance of 10 km.

From the finish we piled all the boards and people into vans and drove everyone back to Laurier Park for the Awards and BBQ Lunch.

Congratulations to all for finishing – It was a great day on the water and fun for all.

I will have a few leashes for sale at Laurier Park.

The third annual Easy Rider SUP Cup is on Sunday August 22, 2010.
This fast and fun event is on the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton, AB.
There will be both a Race and a Touring Class.
The Race is 17 km and runs from Terwillegar  Park to Rafters Landing.
The Touring Class  is 10 km and runs from Laurier Park to Rafters Landing.
Come on out and enjoy a great day on the water.

We just received the first shipment into Canada of the Hobie PFD waist packs.
If you feel the need (or just plain need) to wear a PFD – this is the one for SUP.
It is a very small waist pack and has an “airplane” style pull out life vest that is either manually or CO2 inflated.
Safety is a good thing.  Come check them out.

No Race tonight – but we will be having our weekly FREE Demo out at Telford Lake.
